Clocking Terminals

Capture Services provides an onsite installation service for all of our products. All of our clocking terminals our self install and require very little installation knowledge to install them. However from time to time we may be asked to install several devices and cable them back to a central point usually a data cabinet.

The cost of installation is dependent on your location and the specific requirements normally a quotation for installation will be given before any work commences. The quotation will require a site visit to evaluate the work required and any additional materials.

Access Control

The access control devices we sell again are self install devices and in most cases are installed by local electricians or maintenance staff. As with the clocking terminals we may be asked to install several access devices and cable them back to a central point. Unlike clocking machines there is usually a bit more involved with access control as there are more components to install (lock, data cabling, exit buttons etc). The type of lock you need to install depends on the type of door you have. The most common lock and the most easy to install are magnetic locks these just attach to the door and the door frame. when the door is closed the electromagnetic lock is energised and the door is locked. No carpentry skills or any special tools are required to install this type of lock. If you have glass or metal doors or require mortise locks then we would recommend a professional locksmith to install the lock.

Power

At each clocking point a 240V socket will need to supplied by the customer. If a supply is not available we can extend the 12V low voltage cables to the nearest socket but this does have a limit of around 5M. Access control systems do need to have a local 240V supply as the power supply for the lock and the access control module both need to be powered. The supply for access control systems are usually installed in false ceiling spaces or on the secure side of the door up high so they can not be tampered with.

Commissioning

If you already have a installation company or staff on-site who can install the devices then we also offer a commissioning service in which we will come to site and setup the devices to work on a network and communicate back to a host PC. Training can also be given on the software at this time if required.
